12 MONTHS MOT
Gumtree had my old number listed. I have now changed the number to my current number.
Electric windows and mirrors, 7 seats, power steering, terrain response, air suspension ABS, traction/stability control, automatic air conditioning, CD/radio, alarm etc
All 'bad bits' only so, assume the rest as good. Open to sensible offers.
PLEASE READ CAREFULLY. THERE'S NO BS FOLLOWING!
Central Locking working via the fob ONLY (temperamental). Manually, the central locking is fine.
Suspension raises but slowly goes down over night. Raises again when started. Suspension light comes on after 40-60 mins of driving, been this way the entire time I've owned it. It will start to slowly lower when driving over a long period on the trot. Last trip to London, I stopped (twice over 500 miles), and once on the way to Billing and twice to Scotland and back... basically, when you've been to the shop or pump (turned the car off, in a nutshell) and start the car, the suspension will raise back to normal hight if it has started to lower - just pullover, turn off and on.
Blower/heater only blows in the windscreen direction. Air conditioning works brilliantly.
Front pads will need replacing soon (warning light on and message on).
Scratch on one alloy.
Crease in the rear nearside passenger door (very hard to spot in pictures. Hard to spot in the first person in most light, you have to run your hand along the door to best spot it). No one I know spotted it until pointed it out to them. I only came across it when polishing/washing.
Nearside rear door temperamental when opening from the inside.
Glove box handle is wobbly but entirely functional.
Various minor nicks, chips, dings and scratches.
HSE 19" wheels with Pirelli Scorpion ZR's (not as 'comfortable' or practical as the original standard 17" rims, in my opinion but look part and are very precise, I'm sure you'll agree)
Imported from Ireland, no effect on insurance. Not really a negative but some may view it as a 'minus'.
Evidence of a snorkel and roof rack fitted (before my time), no evidence of off-road use or towing. Check pix, my off-road use of the machine has been very limited and on very minor terrain - you'd get a Citroën Berlingo to the same places - we did, with relative ease. This D3 has been my best 'friend' as a photographer/videographer, it simply gets me to where I need to go without question or issues, I've also spent a few nights in it (it's a great micro-camper).
MOT due September 2017
Full service last month with receipt. There's also other paperwork of work carried out including belts etc in July 2011, 42k kilometers ago and old MOT's. Not many miles covered from belts and clutch until I owned it. The main belts are recommended changed every 105,000 miles or 7 years, whichever comes soonest.
I was going to claim on my AA insurance for the suspension and central locking but time has always been a factor, I've never had the opportunity to be Disco-less for more than a day or two. Basically, the issues never 'bothered' me enough to warrant being without my go-to for more than a couple days.
Apart from the pads, the car has been in the above condition since I've owned it (25/09/15). Be under no illusions, the car isn't in showroom condition however, the engine, transmission and chassis are great and the interior and body have no rips or rot - the interior and bodywork condition is typical of a 10 year old car.
The car has been and still is quite simply reliable and awesome! My first D3 has sold me for life on new - apart from a few nostalgia kinks that can only be obtained by old (for now), new Land Rover’s win all day, any day, no questions.
Thanks for looking!
